Steam Tags, Reviews and Curators

So, a couple of weeks ago Steam fundamentally changed their games search, review & Recommendation system, with a new build on top of their steam tag system.

Well despite that in my opinion any censored user generated tag system in itself is flawed, witch bans useful consumer information like "mobile port", "drm" etc., steam tries to go around that flawed system by the addition of the curator system or at least trys to offer an alternative to it.

It also seems that steam tries to get as much distance as it can to get away from the metacritic system by disabling the option in the steam search to search or order search results after  metacritic scores.

Further is in my opinion, the curator system more or less (in principle) a good workaround the censored user tag system. Why? Because it allows in part a platform to steam users to voice their opinions without automaticly being censored (for now).

What are the result so far?

Well it is actual too early to review this new steam tag, review and curator system while it seems there at least every few days new modifications and updates to this system. Like that someone behind steam thought that the first curators anyone should see, are curators selected by a nebulous "recommended curators" system and not by a list of most active participating steam users/curators, only a week after the system was implemented. You decide why they could have done it.

Me, i think that this curator system may also be on the verge of being consored in any (certain game publishers preferred) way.

But anyways, i started a steam curator group in witch i try to list every game or game store page i can find or know that contains (in my opinion) less consumer information then it should, with false release dates, if the game store page does not clearly say that the installation of a 2nd Level DRM System, separate login requirements, dodgy license agreements, if the game does not work at all and/or is missing/censored useful tags etc.

Here is the link to my curator group, feel free to check it out. If you know any game/game store page that does the before mentioned thing, feel also free to contact me over my steam curator group.
